Bahia Grande beach is the first accessible beach of Rocha, inaugurated in January 2014, with personalized attention from specialists so that young people and adults with physical disabilities have the possibility of enjoying the sea. The support of the teacher, the conditioned chairs for the water, walkers, and other security elements available allow everyone to enjoy the beach.
During the summer, open hours is Monday through Tuesday from 9am to 12pm and from 4 pm to 7 pm.
In addition, a wide wooden walkway facilitates the arrival from the waterfront to the sea for those who have difficulty walking. There is also parking for disabled people.
Water games and sports
For its tranquility in its waves and shallow depth is the ideal beach for water games. At the end of the Big Bay you can have fun in the banana, rubber boat, ski and boat rides.
Also, at several points of this beach, you will find stands to rent kayaks that will allow you to cross to La Tuna Island or simply paddle the waters of this bay.
