Punta Rubia

Punta Rubia limits to the southwest with the La Pedrera spa, and to the northeast with the Santa Isabel spa. Fractionated in the 1940s, its growth has accelerated after the 1990s.

In addition to its beaches, the seaside resort is notable for the formations known as Cárcavas de Punta Rubia, they are sinkholes produced in rocks and soils, which show pronounced ravines and very eroded sectors. It is an area formed 140,000 years ago that houses fossils, glyptodonte vertebrae and different elements used by the natives who inhabited the coast.
